Hide/Show all attachments (regardless of sensitive status)

Hey, just a thought. But an option to just turn off all picture NSFW covers for the Masto FE might be nice?

The fediverse implementation at the moment is just broken. I get bowls of noodles hidden as NSFW and Pedo Loli art instantly displayed.

Just having everything displayed would be preferable to me so I can block individual accounts, (although I guess others might want everything covered as NSFW?), so I'd suggest a drop down 3 option list maybe? "Default Behaviour", "Unhide All Media", "Hide All Media" or something like that?

This would probably need a App Setting pop-in like there is in glitch-soc. See this screen.

Also it’s not an implementation issue but a people issue, some people tag their food as sensitive, while some people put their NSFW on display.

Anyway for this one even if I would just like the default and hide all media.

Autistic wolf here – I would love the ability to hide all images by default. It turns out I find things a lot less visually overstimulating when I can hide them and have to show them individually myself; I was quite surprised how much nicer this made regular Mastodon.

Also, re-reading the original issue it seems that you also wanted to have people's attachment tagged as NSFW, which is possible with MRF (it's visible in PleromaFE and AdminFE but not MastoFE at the moment).

Got closed, it's present in the mastodon settings (which are stored and set in their backend ️) will have to be moved somewhat to the App Settings.

I figured it was in the backend and we'd have to move it, yeah.

I'd be willing to try and help if I can actually build the thing... would I need to build the entirety of Pleroma? How difficult is it to get set up for that?

Building pleroma is quite easy and doesn't take up much ressources. About the same of mastofe but can eat a serious amount of RAM, something like minimum 4GB machine, would recommend 8GB.

I've got 16GB of RAM, so that shouldn't be a problem. Sweet!

Is there any documentation somewhere about how to set up a dev environment? I couldn't find any when I went looking, but I might just have been looking in the wrong places.
