How hard would it be given the current codebase to introduce a reversed timeline mode, where scrolling down loads new posts instead of old ones as an option or separate virtual timeline, even if it applied to the whole known network timeline only?
It promotes a much ergonomic doom scrolling experience, and could benefit the somewhat broken "show new posts automatically" option, which likes to re-render the whole timeline every time it loads.
I've [bountied](https://opencollective.com/reverse-chronological-down-is-new-timeline-plz) for it to be implemented a few times, and while the suggestions were noted, nothing ever came out of it.

It would be very nice if we could hide replies when viewing user profiles in PleromaFE. Right now, there are two tabs available: One to show all of the user’s visible post, and another to show only those with media attached. The option to filter out replies is missing, though:
![profile-tabs-pleromafe](/uploads/f3da7dae324227ed04d2c9012e625df7/profile-tabs-pleromafe.png)
One solution might be to add filtering options to the list, much like the ones you see on your home timeline (when logged in):
![reply-filter-pleromafe](/uploads/4af134c972c4580fffaab26ffc99bf80/reply-filter-pleromafe.png)
Another solution might be to add a third tab showing only posts which are not replies, much like what Mastodon is doing:
![profile-tabs-mastodon](/uploads/aea3d4a56df99d375c3f520cfb2c70bf/profile-tabs-mastodon.png)
Either way, I feel this would be very useful to have, and it might even be a good idea to hide replies by default. When I go to someone’s profile to look at their posts, it’s often because I’m curious what kind of content they post for everyone to see. I’m seldom interested in the conversations they might be having with few random individuals, yet that can make up the bulk of the timeline.
For example, if I think of following someone, I head over to their profile to see what kind of posts I’ll be seeing on my timeline if I do. But if they’re a person who make 3 ordinary posts and 20 replies a week, I’ll have to carefully scroll the timeline and try to ignore the replies (which I wouldn’t get to see, since I filter them out on my home timeline), while looking out for the ordinary posts they’ve made. That’s a bit tiring, so I’m happier if I can view the profiles on Mastodon, where I can see the ordinary posts on their own, *and* switch tabs to briefly see what they’re like when reacting to others (if I feel so inclined).
I see this feature was brought up in #215, but that issue got closed two years ago since ‘most of it got implemented’, though this feature was one of the things which didn’t.https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma-fe/-/issues/1243Display version info in About instead of Settings2023-05-08T14:47:44ZtusooaDisplay version info in About instead of Settings<!--

I would like the ability to toggle between infinite scroll mode and static pages for my user timeline(s). I asked the admin of the instance I'm on (cdrom.tokyo) and he said the feature was not there for him to impliment, so I should go make an issue on the project page requesting it.
Aside from not liking infinite scroll, almost on principle, and wanting variety and options, the main motivation for me has been to better facilitate mobile use. I prefer to engage with my instance via a standard web browser (like Bromite for Android), since apps like Fedilab or Husky can't mimic the unique aesthetic of cdrom.tokyo (and they don't have tabs like a browser does). But, it is often very unfriendly, performance-wise, and gets worse with length of use, mainly due to scrolling down, to the point of it being exactly unusable (text input taking 4-16 times to complete or the tab just giving up and crashing).
If I could switch to using pages, then I wouldn't have to worry about accumulating an ever-growing amount of web elements that will slow my engagement to a crawl and can just worry about general optimization and stability issues.
Anyway, I hope this is possible. And, at this point, I'm not too concerned about the specifics of how it would be implimented (does Page 1 start from the bottom/oldest or the top/newest?, for instance).

I prefer to dismiss notifications manually because I like to finish what I'm doing before shifting my attention to the notification; by the time I've finished what I'm focused on, I usually only have time to read a couple words which means I need to go back to my browser and find the tab to finish reading it, rather than just reading the notification itself.
It would be nice if the expiry time was configurable with an option to disable expiry, but I would also be satisfied with just an option to disable the expiry and defer dismissal to the OS.https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma-fe/-/issues/1145admin dashboard2023-05-08T21:59:23Ztusooaadmin dashboardBased on last week's meeting, we want to finally port admin-fe stuff to pleroma-fe.
