Hashtags don’t show up unless followed by whitespace and text

Hello! I’ve noticed a problem on the Pleroma instance kindly hosting my account: when formatting a post using Markdown, any hashtags in the body will not render in the post unless followed by horizontal whitespace in the same paragraph and other text anywhere else in the post (e.g. in the following paragraph). Here is a screenshot to illustrate what I mean:

The only functional trailing whitespace characters I tested were character tabulation (U+0009) and space (U+0020). Characters such as no-break space (U+00A0) and and thin space (U+2009) did not allow the hashtag to appear. This appears to be a problem when formatting BBCode, too, but not plain text or HTML.

Tested with Pleroma 2.2.2 and Pleroma FE 320418d5. Sorry in case the problem is outdated or reported in the wrong place!
