I know, pleroma is a microblogging-plattform...
But is there a possibility to make a users-choice setting to show threads not single posts per default?

So a user can choose, if he wants to see discussion-thread or microblogging single messages.

Is it a big thing or just a lightweight implementation-job?

When i click in the small + right above a posting, i see the whole thread.

I want this per default for every thread.

It is not possible to show the whole thread, but it is possible to show the post being replied to. Fedi App does it.

wouldn't showing all threads expanded all the time make tons of duplicates? Or you want something like futaba board that just shows you all the OPs?

Why should happen there duplicates?

One thread should only be shown once... then all postings are shown once...

So i said, i know, pleroma is microblogging, which lives from showing each posting and answer for itself... and then, if you are interested, open one thread for a specific posting.

the other way round - how friendica does it - is another concept. it shows the initial postings and build a tree of answers below (collapseable)...

so my question was: if i can show the thread for one message, is it possible, to show every posting IN it's thread per default. and is it easy to implement it or has it heavy impact?

i know from friendica and from former times from facebook, that there are shown whole threads of a discussion.

so, posts that are replies to something else don't appear on top but instead automatically go into relevant threads?

Maybe you are looking for #2674 .

But anyway, it is still FE issue, so maybe should move to pleroma-fe instead.

For sure... it's a frontend-issue.
Thanks for moving it into the right project.
