Clicking on hashtags open in a new tab. This is suboptimal.

you propose opening them in tag search view in local instance instead?

that's what I assume, that way you can actually interact with the posts you see tagged instead of just viewing. seems like a good idea to me

Click on a #hashtag in a status and you'll see what it does

This is a dupe of #195 but since activity is happening here I'll close that issue.

I think this works only if the user is from the same instance. If the user is from a different instance it opens up a new tab just like before.

I am really happy to see it working for the posts from same instance but would also like if like the mastodon FE it could also do it for posts from different instances.

I just tested and it works for all hashtags in statuses regardless of where the user account is from. What is it you're seeing?

works for all hashtags

I just checked and you are partially right it works for all federated Pleroma instances.

Sadly it doesn't work for all federated posts from Mastodon instances. I just checked after you mentioned it. Actually that might be also the reason why I was a bit late posting this.
