Remote follows with Mastodon don't work, and it seems in part because Mastodon is expecting a JSON response from my server's webfinger (part of Pleroma) per the RFC for WebFinger (https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7033.html). However, Pleroma's Webfinger returns XML, which isn't expected, standard, or accepted.
How can Pleroma's WebFinger service be setup to return JSON and not XML?
Thanks,

While I'm sure it's possible I'm just being a bit paranoid here, I do have to wonder if it's giving a bit too much without asking for any sort of authentication? I feel like it'd make more sense to just return a simple healthy true or false if unauthenticated, and only give more details if authenticated.https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/issues/2229lists for searches: looking for ideas2023-05-07T21:58:54Zfaried nawazlists for searches: looking for ideasRight now you can create lists of users to see their toots independently of the usual timelines. My example use case is search columns in Tweetdeck; I can search for "elisp" or "fortran AND vampire" and a column shows up with all recent tweets with that search phrase.https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/issues/2163Reply filtering in home timeline2023-05-08T03:40:01ZGidi KroonReply filtering in home timelineI can't find an open issue about this, so here's a new one. In 2.0.x the option '`Settings` -> `Filtering` -> `Replies in Timeline` -> `Only show replies directed at me or users I'm following`' used to not filter out enough and I appreciate that this has been fixed, but now in 2.1.1 and 2.1.2 it filters out too much. Specifically these two types of posts should I think still be in the home timeline, but aren't:
- Replies by people I follow to themselves, i.e. a thread
- Repeats by people I follow of replies by people I don't follow
The second is because that is what I think the intent of the repeat is: to announce the post to followers. The first is just literally what the option says, a reply to someone I follow.lainlainhttps://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/issues/1943Are there any plans for improving User Reports?2023-05-08T03:52:28ZMichael Collinsmichael.collins@bofhllc.netAre there any plans for improving User Reports?Hi. However, it seems like there is no way to do this with custom emojis. This would be very useful as tools that download thousands of custom emojis can produce a significant load on the server, and delegating it to a CDN would be much more efficient.https://git.pleroma.social/pleroma/pleroma/-/issues/1314Pleroma on Termux/Android2023-05-08T04:06:38ZLucy The DuckPleroma on Termux/AndroidIs it possible to package pleroma for termux on android?
