Allow account registration without an email

We should not require an email address for new user accounts if we aren't enforcing account validation.

Don't we still want emails for accounts for recovering passwords etc?

It could still be done by the admin I guess.

vast majority of Pleroma instances don't have email turned on at all, period. And those that do have to deal with the nightmare of getting your mails stuck in a spam filter because they didn't know they also need to setup SPF, DKIM, reverse DNS, etc.

Well, this is why Sendmail (interface) isn't the only method available. But yeah.

Also not sure what's the use case for this, specially as Windows10/Android/… all require an email so people already have one.

Not having your email leaked if an instance gets hacked. Setting up private communities for your friends/family and not requiring them to expose more personal info than necessary.
