Issues Federating

My instance is running on a raspberry pi here: https://awkward.company

I can't seem to follow anyone, although I can lookup people.

I cannot seem to increase my status counter when I make a status, and I can't see anyone else's posts when I look them up.

I'm not sure how to check the logs to see what is going wrong - could someone help me?
