"Mastodon::Error::Forbidden: Insufficient permissions: write." while trying to create status

It seems that about 24h ago, after soc.safebook.space updated to 0.9.0-2781-g1f85c9c9, from 0.9.0-2725-ga39a094c, it started giving out errors Mastodon::Error::Forbidden: Insufficient permissions: write. when trying to create a status.

In Mastodon the "write" permission works as an umbrella permission to all write permissions. Is this different in pleroma?
