weird behavior of panel heading on IOS (safari AND other browsers)
Environment info
- Browser, version, OS, platform: Safari, iOS 16.0.2
- Frontend version (see settings -> about): 2.5.0
- Backend version (see settings -> about): 2.5.50-885-g2c0fb7aa-main
Bug description & reproduction steps
Open a pleroma instance with v2.5.0 frontend and scroll the timeline.
As shown below, the panel heading isn't still. It looks almost like it's constantly shaking when you scroll.
It is more obvious when I select the .panel-heading.-sticky
element using safari's developer tool.
I'm not sure why but it seems like on iPhone the height of the navigation bar/panel heading has been miscalculated, and that creates a little gap between the two elements, from which you could constantly see the posts passing through, which is super annoying.
This weird behavior of the panel heading is present for Chrome and Firefox on iPhone as well. As I dont have any Android devices I dont know whether this bug only appears on iPhones. If you only use a browser inspector's responsive design mode you wouldn't be able to see this bug, which creates more difficulties to fix it
Bug seriousness
- How annoying it is: super distracting when you try to scroll the timeline
- How often does it happen: all the time
- How many people does it affect: everyone using an iPhone to use pleroma
- Is there a workaround for it: nope
