Unable to filter more than one word

In Settings > Filtering, there is a box labeled "All statuses containing these words will be muted, one per line"

I am not sure how to actually filter more than one word, as pressing Enter on my keyboard just causes "Settings saved" without creating a newline. I've tried commas, semicolons, regex, etc. but nothing seems to be able to get it to accept multiple keywords to filter.
