Indicate whether collapsed statuses have attachments #767

Since Mastodon treats attachments on CW'd statuses as though they were marked Sensitive, many Mastodon users won't specifically flag images as sensitive when there's a CW. When a status is collapsed in Pleroma-FE, there's no way to tell whether it has attachments, so I can uncollapse a status and get an NSFW image when I was only expecting text. I'd like to have some indication in the collapsed view that shows a status has attachments; I like the way the glitch-soc Mastodon interface handles this and it'd be helpful for Pleroma-FE to implement something similar.

Mastodon automatically marks images as sensitive when there is a CW though?

Huh, I ran into a CW'd status that had an NSFW image that wasn't marked Sensitive, but maybe that was just a fluke. I don't feel like posting a status with a naked selfie onto an issue thread but maybe I'll set up a throwaway Masto account someplace and experiment. I still think a media indicator on collapsed statuses would be useful, I might work on that myself and submit a merge request later if it's a feature you'd be open to adding.

You're right that Mastodon does automatically mark CW'd images as sensitive. Here's the behavior I'm observing:

  • When I set "Collapse posts with subjects" to false, sensitive images are hidden as expected.
  • When I set "Collapse posts with subjects" to true, sensitive images in posts with subjects aren't hidden.

I'm not sure whether that's a deliberate feature (require at most one click to fully view a status) or a bug, but either that should be changed or collapsed subjects should indicate they have images.

Found the place in the code where the behavior I'm observing was deliberately added, the rationale makes sense to me and I'll work on a patch to add a media indicator.

the whole "collapsible subject" was pretty much duck-taped to the system tbh.
