(2.0.0) [AdminFE] unfollowing relays doesn't stop relayed posts from coming in
Hey all,
I just upgraded to 2.0.0. After migrating to in-DB configuration to leverage the new and improved AdminFE, I started fiddling with the Relays section, and decided to try following some listed relays from the-federation.info.
I quickly realized that this was a bad idea, and in fact I did not really want to do this. What happened next is that my Federated Timeline (TWKN) was flooded with many, many posts. Most of them were in languages I couldn't read, and upon closer inspection, many of these statuses appear to be over a year old.
I tried to delete the relays from the AdminFE section, but the posts somehow have kept coming. I tried running the mix pleroma.relay unfollow (relay_domain.tld/actor)
commands to single out the specific relays, but the posts keep coming in. I even started using MRF to block out statuses from non-English domains in the hopes of getting a readable federated timeline again, and tried muting / blocking the relay actors to no avail.
The flood continues at an alarming rate, with posts going back as far as 2017. Worse, it seems as though old statuses that my instance already new about are having an Announce
activity performed on them, causing them to bubble back up to the top of profile timelines, and my home timeline as well. If I try to see what Eugen is up to, for example, all of his latest statuses are over a year old.
What do I need to do to reverse this?
