Redirecting user feedback to external, registration-restricted site is a dark pattern
As per title, user feedback will be greatly limited if you require they deliver it to an external, registration-restricted site before addressing. You'll see people resort to voting with their feet more often than they bother to follow through on the discouraging-by-design dark pattern and only get a small, biased portion of feedback from those few who would. The dev team seems to be confused why so little feedback is provided here, this is why. Git issues is also not the appropriate place for feedback, it would quickly flood the issues and hurt its real usability if it was actually delivered here.
Setting up a linkable service, like some kind of open comment field, that doesn't require registration would be better. Ideal would be not forcing the users to leave the platform at all, possibly through utilizing a bot they can mention that will transcribe their posts into a conveniently referencable list. Or you could keep ignoring everyone and wonder why they suddenly complain.
